Echo Park Rising 2019 was like a small SXSW with no blatant corporate sponsoring or open bars. The line up was diverse, ranging from Thrash in a barbershop to Soundclound rappers doing acoustic sets on a patio. The majority of the party stretched along a mile of Sunset Boulevard and came out strong for four days straight.
On Sunday, blah blah blah tacos.
On the second day, there was ratchet.

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of covering Neon Desert 2015 for the UTEP Prospector.
This was a line-up that I was initially unimpressed by as I'm not a huge fan of EDM and was unfamiliar with a lot of the Spanish language artists. As the weekend went on, I realized how solid this line-up was.
On Friday, Girl Talk turned up as always, Cypress Hill had me wylin', and (previously unknown to me) Robert Delong ended up being one of my favorite sets of the weekend.
